Changes to the calendar - Additional ticket sales and trades - Last updated 4/10 12:15

There are some more seats open - some people indicated adding on.  And as you look at your dates, you might see some opportunity to switch games.

I will keep the calendar above up to date.  A rundown of the sales/exchanges will be below.
Don't see the calendar?  Make sure you're looking at the full web version of the blog and not the mobile version: http://twinsoutdoors.blogspot.com/?m=0

You can also purchase tickets and use the Twins Exchange program to get a different date with some exceptions:
  • Price level of your new game has to be equal or lower value of the tickets you're trading in
  • No guarantee of same section - you'll get best available
  • I don't know yet if you can trade in 2 tickets each from 2 different games to get 4 together - I'll check it out
  • Much easier to do for Field Box than Legends Club (but LC still possible), since I control the account for FB.
  • Not available for CATCH
Here's the running list of additional sales or other changes/exchanges:
  • Josh - Tue 4/26 Cle - FB(2)
  • Josh will take 4 FB, date TBD based on a pending sale, in order to trade in for another game
  • John Sch. - Fri 4/29 Det - FB (2)
  • Sold the 2 CATCH tickets for Wed 4/13
  • Andy traded in 2 Legends Club tickets on 4/11 for the 2 CATCH tickets - we now have 2 Legends Club tickets available on OPENING DAY
  • Andy found a taker for those 2 Legends Club tickets on Opening Day
  • Andy traded in 2 Legends Club tickets for 4/30 for 2 Legends Club tickets on May 23

CATCH Preview

No furniture yet...but this is the area we'll have in CATCH.  Rows 1 & 2 of assigned seating are at the rails on the left.

We still have a few CATCH tickets available for these dates:

  • 3 PM Mon, April 11 vs White Sox for the Home Opener**
  • 7 PM Wed, April 13 vs White Sox
  • 7 PM Tue, April 26 vs Cleveland
  • 7 PM Thur. May 19 vs Toronto
  • 1 PM Mon. September 5 vs Kansas City - Labor Day
Note - I still need to pick at least one more of these games for myself, so I might say at the time you pick that one is unavailable

It's a pair of tickets for each game - they are $75 each and this includes all food and drink offered that night in the club, including beer and wine - unlimited!  A cash bar is also available for liquor (and maybe more wine choices?).

Our tickets this year are standing room - with high top tables/stools available in front of the bar and some cabana-style seating in the rear.  **Opening Day tickets have assigned seats in Row 2 - and are $80 each as a result.

John Schultz and I had a chance to tour the space on Monday plus sample some of their planned food. They said for each game, they will have an entree, a side, I think a vegetarian option (not sure if that's included as the "side"), some snacking/salad options, and desserts.  Beer will be the Bud products, Summit EPA and Saga, and Nordeast.

The preview meal had more things than would be available at any one game, but here is a sample of what you'll see:
Balsamic Glazed Beef Tenderloin with Caramelized Fennel and Onion Jam, Grilled Tuscan Chicken, Roasted Seasonal Vegetables (with Caper Herb Vinaigrette), Linguine and Clams

Panzanella Salad: Heirloom Tomatoes, Perlini Mozzarella, Fresh Basil, Grilled Bread

Ricotta & Goat Cheese, Pistachios, with Toasted Lavash, Prosciutto Crostini with Fig Balsamic Jam and Micro Arugula, Tomato Basil Potato Chips

Not pictured included the dessert choices and some Parmesan Truffle Popcorn

Here are some other details
  • You enter from the upper deck in center field, below the Minnie & Paul sign.  That's the location of the new Minnie & Paul's bar available to all fans.  Stairs descend from Minnie & Paul's to CATCH.  The club holds as many as 150 people, but they said they'd only have about 115 max per game so it won't be jam packed.
  • The assigned seats themselves aren't covered, but the bar/standing area is, plus there are heat lamps that will be on when the temperature is below 50 degrees.
  • Ticket holders will have to scan in and scan out (you can't get 4 people in on 2 tickets, though I suppose you could exit and hand off your ticket to someone else).
  • The club opens when the gates open (90 minutes before game time on weekdays, 2 hours on weekends).
  • Like Hrbek's, Town Hall Tavern, etc., the bar does not close at the 7th inning, although you cannot take drinks out of the area after that time.
  • The club closes 1 hour after the game ends (and continues to serve until that time)
  • No restrooms in the area - you'll need to go out on the concourse.
  • You could also bring in food from other parts of the ballpark, including from the Minnie & Paul's bar above which has a Pizza Luce stand and a Red Cow stand.
The seating locations at the left will have monitors for every two seats (Microsoft Surface, I believe).  You can also see on the right that there are TV monitors in the back to see the game action.

No furniture when we were there, but there are 2 alcoves on each side of the bar for the cabana seating - the couches will hold 10-15 people with a large table.  Note the heat lamps in the ceiling.

View from the front row

View from our standing location - you will miss what happens at the walls...kind of like being in the Metrodome CF upper deck.  The front row seats are normal chairs, the 2nd row a little bit taller stools.  Standing, you should be able to see over both.

Still working on the bar 7 days before the opener

Inspiration for the name CATCH

Minnie & Paul's

While John and I checked out CATCH, we also got a view of Minnie & Paul's - a new center field gathering area open to all fans for each game.  It's right under the sign of Minnie & Paul.

The area also includes new food options in the park - a Pizza Luce stand and a full-fledged Red Cow Burger stand (around the corner from Pizza Luce on the left, where those people are walking)
